2012
As a new year begins and Lydia is 5 and Elijah is 3 I figure it is now time to begin a new page. They aren't just saying funny things anymore. They are saying sweet things, meaningful & thoughtful things, and I want to remember these things too.. as often as I can to remember and type them out!
January
Andy's grandmother (aka Mammaw) went to Heaven last year. But the kids still talk about her and will often talk about Mammaw being in Heaven. One day in the car Elijah says, "I want to go on a rocketship to Heaven." Lydia says, "Well, if you go to Heaven on a rocketship then you can't have a new body. You can only get a new body if you die." Elijah replies, "Well, I don't need a new body. My body isn't broken." Lydia answers, "Well, I want a new body. Like Mammaw. She's got a new body and she is getting to eat all the candy she wants! I can't wait to go to Heaven and get a new body!" Elijah answers, "Well, I just want to go there on a rocketship!" It was so funny and yet so sweet at the same time! I love their conversations about Heaven.. at such young ages!

Lydia and Elijah were sitting in bed with me (it was early in the morning) and they decided to tell each other stories. So Lydia begins a ghost story (per Elijah's request), "Once upon a time (in an eerie voice) there was a big castle. And in the castle lives 40, 50 ghosts. None of the ghosts had any arms... and only one of the ghosts cooked for all the others." Elijah interrupted, "how did the ghost cook if it didn't have arms?" Lydia replied eerily, "Well, one ghost had arms to cook for everybody but none of the others did. None of them had any feet.. except the one who cooked. The End"
So, Elijah tells a story about Sleeping Beauty (per Lydia's request) and he says, "Once there was a princess. She died and the prince came and woke her up and she was happy. The End!" So, Lydia of course had to correct his story as to what truly happened to Sleeping Beauty, but it was sweet nonetheless.
We awoke one Monday morning to our neighbor's house being on fire. It was very tragic, but with 6 fire trucks hogging our little Avenue, Elijah (especially) was truly enthralled at what was going on. As soon as he saw the Firemen in their blue uniforms with their hats & boots, Elijah immediately ran and got his blue sweat suit on along with a pretend fire hat and his fireman rain boots. When a police lady came and spoke with me later in the morning and saw Elijah in his firemen getup she asked about a police getup. He said, "My don't have one of those" so she brought them both some stickers that were Junior Police badges. They were so proud of them. Elijah kept saying, "My just don't know what those firemen are doing!"
Elijah told me today in the car that when he grows up he is going to marry me. Daddy will make him flowers to give to me when we get married. It was so sweet. He has said that before. Lydia always reminds him that Mommy is already married, but he always says, "Well, I'm going to marry my mommy when I grow up!" So then (out of the blue) Lydia looks at him and said, "When we grow up.. how will I know that you're my brother?" He didn't have a reponse to that.
Lydia's joke: "What did the doggy say to his daddy?" No answer. "Hi Pa!"
February
The kids have been quite silly lately, so I've been taking some extra little videos of them on my phone and posting them on YouTube! Here's one of them! (above) Lydia is learning to read and doing such a great job! She gets discouraged easily and needs quite a bit of encouragement.. but she's doing it and I'm super proud of her!! (below)
Lydia came to me and said, "My hair is all messed up and I look horrible!!" LOL! Wow-- she's 5.. what will we do when she's 15?? haha.... Love her!!
February
s Lydia and I went and saw Beauty and the Beast in 3D today! We went with my mom and a friend of hers, her daughter & granddaughter. The other granddaughter told Lydia "We get to see the Beast jump out of the movie!" Well that scared Lydia, so I barely got her to put the glasses ON and once I did every time the Beast would show up on the screen, she would take the glasses off! It was so funny and despite her fear of Beast trying to get her... we had a blast!
s We got Elijah a new twin bed! He had way outgrown his toddler bed. He has started doing this thing where he points his finger and cocks his head to the side and says "Yeah Baybah (baby)!!" [ See video above for a snapshot of this. ] We were at Target looking for a bedding set that he would get to pick out. He picked out Spiderman and I said, "Are you sure?" he cocked his head, stuck out his finger like a gun, and said "Yeah Baybah" and clicked his tongue to his cheek! An older lady heard & saw him and cracked up. Then he looked at her and said, "That's the spirit!!"
Elijah asked me if we could go ride on an airplane. I told him it costs too much money and we can't. He then explained, "Well, if I had a bag of gold we could go!" I asked him if he had one and with a big grin he shook his head yes. Then he said, "It's invisible!" I told him that was really cool, and he added, "If we find some pirates, then they can give us gold. Then we can go ride on an airplane!!" To which he gets up and starts acting like an airplane.
The kids and I were watching "Balto" an older movie based on a true story. At the end of the movie Balto is shown as a statue in a state park. Lydia looked up at me sadly and said, "Mommy? What happened to poor Balto that he turned to stone?" We always pray with our kids at night and ask them, "Who do you want to pray for or thank God for?" Elijah usually answers with "Pappaw". I told him that was a good idea because Pappaw has a knee surgery coming up. So this was Elijah's prayer, "Jesus. Please heal up Pappaw. Please let him die so he can go to Heaven and get new body. Amen" It was all we could do not to crack up, because he was so sincere as he prayed it. Went to pick Lydia up at from Cubbies tonight only to find out she has a BOYFRIEND!!! His name is Jayden and she sang his name the entire way home and talked about him all night long!
March & April I was getting something at the request of the kiddos tonight. Elijah said, "Sissy can go first.. 'cause ladies go first!" I have been teaching him this since he was around 2 years old. It's thrilling to me that at 3 1/2 years old he is getting it! It is St Patricks Day and my mom kept the kids overnight. She took them to IHOP this morning and they saw a man with no green on and they both went up to him and pinched him. Thankfully he had young kids and didn't get angry! On the way home from the Chiropractic office Lydia said, "Let's go home and clean up our rooms!" Eli says, "I don't want to do that. I want to watch TV." Lydia replied, "Well you should pray for God to help you want to clean your room." He disgustedly shouted, "Just forget it!' Elijah was petting Cassie (our dog for over a year now). He loves to babytalk her. He was quietly talking to her while he petted her and then he smiled really big and looked at me and said, "Awww.. she thinks we're going to keep her." In church the kids have been talking about Heaven, before Easter. After church Lydia asked, "Are there castles in Heaven? I told her there aren't castles, but there are mansions that Jesus is preparing for us now. I then had to explain that a mansion is a really big house. She said, "Well, I'm going to eat candy there. All day. Every day. All the time!" Elijah sadly answered, "Sissy.. I want candy too.." Lydia quickly responded, "Go find your own house then!"
We took the kids to get their pictures made at Target. Lydia had on a very fluffy pink dress. There was an 18 mos old little boy there who liked the feel of her dress. He kept coming over and touching it and holding it. She did not like it one bit! She kept staring at him with uneasy eyes. Elijah walked over there and tried to remove the little boy's hand. It didn't work. So then the both of them began into a tug of war. The baby wanted the dress and Elijah wanted him to let go! Then Elijah shouts at him, "Let go of my Sissy's dress! It's MY sissy's dress!!" The mother then noticed & removed her child from touching Lydia. Elijah sat down with Lydia and she leaned over and quietly smiled at him and gave him a really big hug. At Cubbies, it was Rainbow Night. On the way in, Eli said, "If you're not wearing lots of colors, then I get to pinch you." I quickly replied.. "Umm, that's St Patricks.. and we're not going to pinch anyone!!" Amazingly, Lydia is 5 years old and has her first loose tooth (front, bottom, left)! In Cubbies on Wednesday nights Elijah's teacher told me (when I went to pick him up) that he told them he didn't want to go to Heaven. He reasoned, because he's afraid that he will see Jesus naked when he gets there! Elijah and I went to Kroger (grocery store) a couple of nights ago. I explained to Eli beforehand that he was not allowed to touch ANYTHING! He quietly agreed to what the rules were before we entered into the store. We made it through produce. We made it through 3 aisles. We came upon the fourth.. the International aisle. As I started down the aisle Elijah saw and grabbed for a jar of salsa. I didn't realize this until it was too late and then he lost his grip on it and it fell... and then shattered all over the aisle going everywhere! I calmly explained to him, "Elijah, this is what I asked you to not touch anything!" He looked down from his seat inside the buggy and observed the salsa. Then, he looked back up at me. He looked back down and said, "Oh no! Momma... this isn't good!" We were at the Chiropractor's office. Lydia was on the table. All the sudden she begins passing gas and it was reverberating off of the table making it sound very loud! I said, "Lydia Faith! That's not nice.. please stop and let's try to hold it in because we are out in public." She said I can't help it, and passed some more gas. It was a memorable experience to say the least (and a bit embarrassing, since the Dr was adjusting her in the middle of it all!)
Elijah is pretty decided that he wants to be Spiderman when he grows up!
Lydia got to have her first sleepover at a friend's house! It was for Izzy & Gracie Boyd's birthday and the next day they woke up early, drove to Atlanta, GA, and went to the American Girl Doll Store!! They had so much fun!!
In Feburary, we found out the sex of our baby #3. We thought for SURE that baby was a girl. We were all surprised when we found out, baby is a BOY!! The kids weren't happy at all.. crying, stomping, jumping up & down, disappointment, etc. You can read all about the experience HERE!
Lydia & Elijah were playing together one morning. Elijah keeps singing "Sponge Bob Square Pants" and then says, "You know what? I love sponge bob square pants more than anything in the world.. except for God!" Lydia just listens to him as he continues singing his song. The funny thing is that we have NEVER, ever let him watch that show!!
Honey came in for a visit so we got to go out to eat & see her!
It was Retro Night at Awanas!! We chose the 90's & had so much fun dressing up!!!
Spring
After prayer time, I asked Lydia & Elijah if they're feeling any better about our baby being a boy. Lydia smiled and said she is! Elijah growled under his breath and looked away. I tickled him and asked again. He smiled at me and said... Well... Only if he plays with me! I told him of course that will happen! He said when he sits up that he will make silly faces and make him laugh and that he & sissy will "attect" (protect) him.. To which Lydia agreed!!
Because of how Josiah is positioned (feet down) when he kicks he normally is kicking in my pelvis. Nobody has felt him move yet, but this morning he decided to turn to the side. I was so excited that Lydia got to be the first one in our family to feel him move!! Such a sweet moment for both of us!

May
On the 20th, Lydia lost her first tooth. She lost it in Sunday School! She was so excited when we picked her up! Her teacher, Liz, told us later that she had shown her and was excited about how loose it was. So a little later on Liz went over to her and said, "Hey Lydia! How's that tooth doing?" Lydia shrugged and said, "Well, it fell out, so I put it in my shoe." Liz told us she took her immediately to get a tissue to put the tooth in. She said that her nonchalance about losing her first tooth was so funny!
There was a big carnival at church to end the year at Cubbies (Awanas)! There was a large slide there that looked like the Titanic (when it was sinking-- so as to create the effect of the slide.) They were both mesmerized by it and wanted us to look at the BIG boat. I told them the story of the Titanic. So, at bedtime that night. This is what Elijah had to say about it!
June
For VBS, we are collecting money for the orphans in Haiti! With this money we are building bunk beds for them and giving them bedding to sleep with! It's been a little humorous, because Elijah has been praying for and talking about the kids in "Katie".
I was folding laundry in my room. Lydia came running in and said, "Mommy! Mommy! Elijah (3 yrs old) accepted Jesus in his heart!!" She was thrilled!!! I said, "He did?" She said, "Yep!" I asked her how he did it. She explained, "I said, 'Buddy, let's pray and ask Jesus in your heart.' and he said, 'Ok!' so we prayed and I helped him!" Then I said, "That's great, Lydia! When you were finished praying what did he say?" She replied, "He said, 'Sissy, NOW can I jump on your bed?' 'cause he's soooo silly!"
The heating element in our dryer went out. So Lydia says, "you can use that wire outside maybe?" and I told her its called a clothesline and yes I could! She asked, "did you put that out there.. Just incase?" I told her it was here when we moved in. Elijah piped up and said in awe, "did Jesus do it?"
Lydia spent the night with my mom. She kept wanting to eat snacks and then she excitedly said, "I'm having a growing spurt. I'm always having a growing spurt. I'm just so hungry!" To which she turns to my mom and very seriously asks, "Gramma? What's a growing spurt?"
I was putting Eli to bed. He said, "Mommy, when I'm all grown up and I'm 6 years old. I want to be a rock star! Will you come watch me play?" I said, "Sure!" He asked, "Where will I play at?" I said, "I don't know. Where will you play?" We had just finished reading the story of Alice in Wonderland. So he pipes up, "I will play at Alisonwonderland Rd, I think!" (He runs Alice in Wonderland together like 1 word)
We were outside earlier planting flowers. Then Elijah wanted to water the potted plants. The hoses water was splashing the soil out of the planter, so I said, "Stick your thumb in it. Stick your thumb in." So he immediately dropped the hose, then went and stuck his thumb in the soil and looked up at me. LOL! I meant stick your thumb in the water to help make it like a fountain, haha.
July
On the 4th, I woke up & told the kids.. "Today is our country's birthday!!!" they said, "Splash Country?!? Yay!!!!!" They thought we were going, I guess, and were a bit disappointed, I think, lol! happy Birthday, America!!!!!
Elijah just said, "Mommy, I didn't hit Sissy today." I told him, "That's really good Elijah. Today you showed self control since you didn't hit her." Then, he said, "Yep, Jesus did that. He controlled me. I prayed last night for him to control me and he did. Really. He did!" It was SO cute!! This is truly an accomplishment.. he is quite the aggressive little guy!
This is our PJ's Tea Party the last week before school started |
We started homeschool on July 27th! This is Lydia's first official year of Kindergarten & Elijah's first year for Preschool! He was NOT happy that Monday when we started. He demanded, "School is for Sissy! NOT me! I don't WANT to do school.. I do not LIKE school!" Thankfully, he has come around and really loves school now!!
August
So our first week of homeschool is finished & I declare it to be a success!! Elijah ended up liking most of it this week and Lydia is excited to be learning cursive! She was quite cute because she didn't realize she got weekends off and is thrilled to learn she has no school for 2 days, hehe! I'm super blessed with my 2 precious children (who are growing up way too fast!!)
We went to Target to look for a birthday gift for a friend. Lydia says, "Look Momma! Look Brother.. This is what I've always wanted! Im just hoping Santa Claus knows how much I like it & will bring it to me." Eli sadly answers her, ".. But Sissy... Santa doesn't know where Target *is*.. I'm sorry!" LOL!!
I made chicken & veggie stir fry for dinner tonight. Personally, I thought it was fantastic. Hubby texted while we were at church and said he loved it too! The kids? Not so much! They decided not to eat it. I told them I'm not fixing them anything else so they will end up going to bed hungry tonight. Which (surprisingly) they were fine with. Then, we got ready & went to church. We walked into their classroom and the teacher said, "We're having a party tonight! We have pizza & ice cream for the kids!" (I didn't tell them that before I left) I picked them up after church and you better believe they were excited for the pizza & ice cream!!! LOL!
We went to Splash Country (our last trip for the season!) and that night, Elijah prayed, "Jesus.. thank you for going to Splash Country. Please heal all the sick people. Thank you for all the people who didn't die today at Splash Country."
Lydia & I tried out a big slide that we could ride on together in a double raft. It was in a pitch black tunnel. We rode it through once and she cackled the whole way and when we finished claimed, "That was awesome!" Then we rode it again. On our way down the black tunnel there are small little lights that help you know if you're going to turn or not. She yelled as loud as she could in hopes that I would hear, "This is my favorite part!!"
When we go to Splash Country, Elijah has to use the bathroom almost every 10 minutes! It's all the time. I took him for about the 5th time yesterday and while sitting on the toilet he says (very exasperated), "Mommy.. I really wish I didn't have to pee pee all the time. I really want to play, but I just can't help it. I keep having to go potty!"
Mimi & Pappaw got a little Basset Hound Puppy. Lydia got to spend the night with them a couple of nights ago. She was SO excited to go! She said, "Mommy! Tonight is Hermie's first spend the night with me. I know he is so excited & can't wait to see me!"
We were talking about prayer yesterday. Lydia said, "I pray to Jesus all the time. I talk to him when nobody else can hear me.. or in my head. I ask him for things, Mommy? Why doesn't he do what I ask? I love talking to Jesus." Then we talked about how God doesn't answer ALL of our prayers, because sometimes that is what's best for us.
Fall
Went on her first date tonight.. with her Pappaw George!
At his 4 yr old checkup and this is the gown they gave him to wear! He looks like a Christmas Tree Topper! lol!! He is extra happy to just find out he doesn't need any shots!
Lydia was so excited to wear her pretty new shirt we found at a consignment shop. She found this blue, ruffled, toile, sparkly shirt and couldn't wait to get it! She wore it to our MOPs meeting, full of smiles with it on. Many people commented how cute she looked. I told her that after lunch. She asked, "How did they know I was your little girl?" I teased her and said, "They all asked, 'Who is the beautiful little girl? She must belong to her beautiful mother, Deborah.'" She looked at me, smiled, and then rolled her eyes. To which Elijah replied, "That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard!"
Christmas came up this morning in our conversation after Breakfast. Lydia was telling us what she wants for Christmas. Elijah told us what he wants. Then he says he wants something to ride on with 4 wheels, goes to get a picture he cut from a magazine and says, "this!" It's like a mini 4 wheeler. I told him that's awfully expensive. He explains, "Don't worry Mommy.. Santa doesn't have to buy it, 'cause he can just make it!" Oh dear.... Lol
Enjoying the beautiful leaves this year; the prettiest they've been in YEARS!
I love my sweet, practical Lydia! We were eating lunch together at the mall and we saw a man with a seeing eye dog walk past us. She says, "Mommy? If someone is blind, then how do they sit on the potty and know where it is?" Oh she makes me giggle!
Lydia & Elijah sang at church tonight and did so well!! When we got home they put on their pajamas and then did a private concert of one of their songs!!
Lydia cracked me up this morning while she works on her school! Today's Phonics was to be graded and sent to the Abeka academy (who we do our homeschool with) she did her page and gave it to me and she had written an A on the top! I asked we if she gave herself an A and she said, "yes! Because I did a really good job!"
We were driving today and an ambulance siren went off behind us. Elijah calmly looks at Lydia and says, "uh oh Sissy.. That's the police mans.. They're coming to get you!" Crack me up!! We never tell them things like that.. I don't know where he heard it from, but it honestly cracked me up! Poor Lydia.. Thank goodness she didn't believe him!
Lydia lost her 3rd tooth and is all smiles!
I got home from my Pampered Chef show tonight and I'm super excited that I have no where to go tomorrow! I love being busy, but I also love "down days!" So my kids came out of their rooms to greet me! I told them I'm so excited for a day at home with them tomorrow. I told them, "I need a favor!" They reply, "Okay!" So I say, "Tomorrow morning.. when you want to get out of bed... Don't do it! Just stay in there.. for AS LONG as you want!!" They didn't go for it :c( They said, "Noooo.. we don't want to do that!" LOL-- Hey.. can't blame me for trying, ha!
We do video schooling through Abeka Academy. We are ahead of their schedule as the lessons we are on are past Thanksgiving and celebrating Christmas. Today, the teacher on the videos was singing Silent Night. At the end, "Sleep in Heavenly peace.." Elijah says, "Yuck! I don't like peas!" Lydia said, "NOT PEAS... Peace! Sleep in heavenly PEACE!"
As we await the time change: On Sunday mornings the kids & I have to wake up early. This morning Andy woke us up at 7. We are eating breakfast and Lydia says, "it's dark outside!" Eli chimes in, "yeah!" And Lydia looks really mad at Andy and says, "it's the middle of the night, Daddy! Why did you wake us up in the middle of the night? All I see outside is darkness!!"
Just wanting to share this blessing: We experienced such a blessing today!! I had a small budget to go buy the kids new Fall/Winter shoes. They really needed tennis shoes & dress shoes, but I wasn't sure if I could get 4 pair on my budget. I went to Payless b/c they have good sales there! Eli walked in and immediately spotted Lightning McQueen light up shoes. They were 1/2 of my budget! So I told him I didn't think we could get them,
because I didn't have enough money... but we could put them on his Christmas list. He began to cry. Then, the lady that worked there came by and slipped me a coupon for 30% off of my entire purchase. We were able to get both of them light-up shoes & shoes for church for 50 cents UNDER my budget!!! God is SOOOO good & faithful.. even when it comes to Kids' Shoes!!
We made pilgrim hats for school... They are so cute. Lydia doesn't like hers tho...
Lydia's book of Thanksgiving for school. "I am thankful for Sarah" (our dog) is what she sounded out and tried to spell :c)
We got to go to Disney on Ice! We go every year.. this is a kickoff to our Holiday Season! They had Toy Story 3 & Cars, Tinkerbell, & Ariel as the main shows!
Elijah loves to say prayers for mealtime. He prays for everything he can think of: our blessings, people who are sick, our food, our plates, our beds. All sorts of things. He also prays, "Jesus, please let us die and go to Heaven." He means.. help us to go to Heaven when we die. One day Lydia (exasperated) said, "He always prays that we're going to die and go to Heaven! ugh!"
Elijah is pretty decided that he wants to be Spiderman when he grows up!
2013
We went on a fieldtrip to the Aquarium of the Smokies!! We went with our friends, Elijah & Garrett Edwards!
I was 27 weeks pregnant with Josiah and in danger of preterm labor. I was put on complete bedrest. Lydia wakes up one morning & says, "I'm going to drink lots of water today, so I will have lots of energy to help you!"
While eating breakfast.. Lydia in the voice of an old woman says, "Elijah? Will you be a dear & go fetch my drink?"
My morning started out with a marriage proposal!! Elijah came and got in bed with me and looked over so sweetly & said, "Mommy, I wanna marry you!" It melted my heart... Sweet boy!!
I have such a little BOY!! He says, "Mommy.. I know a place that I can burp anytime I want. I can even pretend to burp (one of his favorite things!)" I said, "Oh.. I think I'll just stay home then. What is the name of this place?" He answered, "Burp Land!" I asked where it is located and he said, "Oh I have no idea!"
A friend, Leann Cooper, came to babysit Lydia & Elijah while I went for a baby checkup. She tagged me on a FB post about her time with them! "Today, my new friends Lydia and Elijah shared with me the reason people get old. I know many people who would love to know, so I'm going to share with you. It's butter. Yep, too much butter makes you old. They informed me that I am not old and to keep from getting old, cut back on the butter. You can still have small amounts, because in their words, "butter is GOOD!", just not too much."
Lydia shared with me (as the time for Josiah's arrival nears- 6 weeks left) that she is excited we are having a baby, but not happy that he is a boy.
When Elijah would pray he would always pray for everything he could think of: plates, utensils, drinks, Mommy & baby, Daddy to not get in a wreck on his way home from work, and anything else he could absolutely think of! Lydia would do a quick prayer everytime she prayed. Now, the roles have reversed. Lydia prays for practical things she can think of: a house, a chair to sit in, a bed to sleep in, air conditioning, food, etc. No matter what they pray for.. I love their sweet & precious hearts as they thank God for everything!!
Lydia told me that she gets tired of seeing Daddy & Mommy kiss all the time.. especially since I (Mommy) won't let her watch people kiss on tv.
Lydia tells everyone that she hopes Josiah isn't as mean and rough as Elijah is!
Kimber came into town for about 1 1/2 hours. She was moving from NC back to Nashville, Tn. She stopped in on her way so we could see her for a bit & eat dinner with her. After she left, Elijah sat on the front door steps for the longest time. Then he stood up with the saddest look on his face and came back inside. I asked him what was wrong and he said, "I just miss my Honey" He pouted for about 2 hours for her. It was pitifully sweet.
A little friend of ours, Gracie Boyd, told her Mom one day that "Mrs. Deborah is having two babies." When her mom told her I was only having one, then she says, "Elijah says she's having two!" Who knew?!
Gramma just got another bird. Lydia was on the phone with her and learning about the new bird, Rikki. She looks at me and says, "Gramma's going to live in a big house with all KINDS of animals!! .. Birds.. Monkeys.." Then she pauses and says, "Sometimes.. Bella (one of the dogs) is a little monkey!"
At a Doctor's Appt Lydia & Elijah were with me at.. Dr Walker & I were talking about Josiah & his delivery. I asked a question which she passively answers, "I don't know, but..." and Elijah interrupts her and says, "What? I thought Drs. knew *everything*!" To which Dr Walker replied, "No, baby.. only God knows everything!" Then, Lydia answers, "Well, my mommy says she knows everything!" Dr Walker then says, "Well, I won't argue with that."
Watching a TV show, "Born to Explore" about other states/countries & the animals that live there.. along with their traditions and food there. They said they would be visiting Hawaii. Eli says, "I think that's on a different planet."
The kids are playing outside (even after the rain began) all the while coming in the house and going back out.. Over & over & over again. Andy looks at them and says, "Thats enough... If you're out, then you're staying out.. So stop coming back in!" Eli gets this sad, pitiful look on his face and asks, "Forever? You mean we even have to sleep out there tonight?" LOL! We couldn't help but burst into smiles & giggles.. Amazing how literal kids can be!
